LGBTQ CULTURALLY COMPETENT PROVIDERS DIRECTORY

Healthcare and social service providers in attendance at the 2012 LGBTQ Meaningful Care Conference**  were invited to be listed in a directory to be made available to LGBTQ community members interested in finding culturally competent providers to give them care.

If you are a healthcare or social service provider in the Pacific Northwest that is culturally competent in the care of LGBTQ persons and interested in being added to this directory, please contact Erin Reid, the Assistant Coordinator of the LGBTQ Health Coalition.

**The Meaningful Care Conference is a day-long LGBTQ cultural competency training, accredited by various State licensing boards for healthcare and social service professionals.  Please note that the listings in this directory have not been verified by the LGBTQ Health Coalition of the Columbia-Willamette.  Providers self reported all information listed, and may have given incomplete information when creating their listing.

Related: While my partner is attending the 2018 Meaningful Care Conference in Oregon (we met at the 2012 LGBTQ Meaningful Care Conference when we lived in Portland), I am at home caring for our newly adopted son and perusing modern Italian furniture online. We recently purchased a great contemporary house just outside of Annapolis. I love the website of a company called room service 360°, but their showroom is in Philadelphia. Do I want to drive two hours with the baby to visit the showroom? Room Service 360° is an authorized dealer of the most respected Italian furniture designers and manufacturers, supposedly offering the most complete, most comprehensive and most exclusive collections of contemporary furniture available on the market today. I really want to surprise Terry with new dining room table and chairs. Oh, they also have the most delicious lighting fixtures. Right now our new house is very sparsely furnished. Ok, decision made. I'll pick out the contemporary Italian furniture that I think will work in our fabulous house and when Terry returns from the conference we will both take a little trip to Philadelphia. I am soo excited.

Now before the baby awakes for another feeding and diaper change, I must visit my favorite, favorite online wig store, ElegantWigs, to see what popular Raquel Welch wigs would be perfect for our little trip. I can't consider long styles right now, since the baby is always grabbing at everything. Long earring, and necklaces are out at the moment. A quick call to Michael, at ElegantWigs will let me know if Flirt Alert, an above the shoulder chopped bob with an eyelash bang and curled back waves is available in Golden Russet, my favorite Raquel Welch color. The Tru2Life heat-friendly synthetic Hair with its luminous, hand-blended, salon-inspired Golden Russet color provides the look and highlights of natural hair  looks so delicious on me. The cap construction is made with Raquel Welch's machine-made Memory Base II with a 100% hand tied lace front and monofilament part line allowing for off the face styling, hair parting versatility, and a light cool fit. The Memory Cap Base ll construction offers a custom like comfort due to its finer, yet resilient stretch lace for the lightest most comfortable and secure fit available. I don't want my sweet little pumpkin tugging on my hair and having the wig slip.
Oops, must run, I hear the baby waking up. He is such a cutie!

And let me also give a ShoutOut to the LGBTQ Health Coalition of Columbia-Willamette. You are the best.
